Pelican Marsh Golf Club Ambassador Program
As a part of our efforts to improve the member experience, we have established an Ambassador Program to better attract prospective members and ensure new members become involved in our Club.
What is the Club Ambassador Program?
Club Ambassadors assist our Director of Membership & Communications in presenting the Pelican Marsh Golf Club experience to prospective members. Club Ambassadors also help new members make the transition from a new member to an involved member of the Club. It can be very intimidating to attend your first Club event or activity as a new member, and the Ambassador program will assist in a smooth integration into the Pelican Marsh lifestyle.
Who can be an Ambassador?
All Club members can volunteer to be PMGC Ambassadors. As an Ambassador, you will be:
- Prospective Member Golf Partner - paired with prospects for a round of golf
- Welcome Wagon - reaching out to new members with a welcome email or phone call
- Friend - extending an invitation for a round of golf or invitation to a Club social event
- New Member Table Host - willing to occasionally sit at the “new member” table at a Wednesday night Dining event
What are the duties of an Ambassador?
- Play a round of golf with prospects and answer any questions from a member point of view about PMGC
- Based on interests, two Ambassador members would be assigned to each new Club member
- The Ambassador will invite their assigned new member to join him/her to dinner or a social event at PMGC
How long is an Ambassador Assignment?
Roughly 2 months after initial engagement as we feel after this length of time, new members should be pretty well adjusted into life at PMGC.
