Holiday Manners Workshop

Boys & Girls Ages 6-12

This workshop will prepare the children for the holidays with our ever so popular dining workshop that offers boys and girls an opportunity to learn about proper social skills in any dining situation. During this class, they will learn the importance of greetings, dinner conversation and other simple courtesies that will help them shine during the holiday season. There will also be a sit down meal provided where the children can practice what they have learned. Holiday attire is suggested.

Workshop Highlights:

Being a proper guest:
Respecting dress codes, behavior at other people’s homes, proper greetings and introductions, the art of table conversation, how to sit properly, when to sit and where to sit.

Showing courtesy:
Using "please" & "thank you," the importance of expressing gratitude, do's & don'ts of dining, requesting additional items, passing food.

Dining with style:
Using utensils and napkins properly, how to handle difficult foods, proper way to eat bread & soup, excusing yourself properly.
